WEBINAR: The Journey to High Reliability
8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.
High reliability means consistent excellence in quality and safety across all services maintained over long periods of time. This high level of performance, which includes the elimination of major quality failures, does not exist in health care today, but the Joint Commission has constructed a framework that health care organizations can use to accelerate their progress toward the ultimate goal of high reliability. The framework is organized around three major domains of change: leadership commitment to achieving zero harm, full implementation of all aspects of a culture of safety, and the widespread adoption and use of highly effective process improvement tools and methods. The Joint Commission Center for Transforming Healthcare will provide information on the domains of high reliability health care and discuss how organization can transform.
